Ms Sunitha Ruthram is the Managing Proprietor of Sunitha Ruthram & Co. She graduated from ABE(UK) in London with LLB(Hons), earned her CLP(Malaysia) here in Malaysia apart from being A Commissioner For Oaths. She is also a co Director of SR Leadership Sdn Bhd and is a Certified Trainer with Peak Potentials Canada. Ms Sunitha's vast knowledge & expertise in the area of Employment Law has spanned across from industrial Courts to the court Of Appeal and even Federal Court. The Aggressive reputation in her approach to case has won the admiration of Clients throughout the Peninsular and further reported in the industrial court and current Journals. In her capacity as Managing Partner of Messrs. Sunitha Ruthram & Co, she has represented Public Listed Companies and the State Governments in Malaysia on many highly sensitive and confidential employment matters and was rewarded with a long lasting business relationship. In view of the successful representation of the Firm in Industrial Court cases, the Firm is on the panel of Affin Bank Berhad. Apart from being a practicing lawyer, she is also involved in conducting in house training programmes for some major companies on industrial law, namely on various misconduct, performance management, domestic inquiry procedures, the law and concept of constructive dismissal, forced resignation and trade union dispute. Ms. Sunitha has also successfully helped employers develop positive employment practices to avoid litigation process.

Fun Side

Sunitha is passionate about her practice and each of the cases that she handles so much so that she sleeps in the office and spends her entire time on her chair and before two large Mac Screens where you can expect emails at the wee hours in the morning. She says hard work is in her blood and her characteristic are similar to an oxen.  We do not know whether she actually sleeps because she is always full of energy and enthusiasm irrespective of the long hours that she puts into a file. We always look forward to have her walk into the office because she brings sunshine to brighten our lives with her favoritism quote: “How you do anything is how you do everything”. She collects stationeries and crystals like a child collecting toys. Yes. She has bizarre traits and you will see this in Court. Nevertheless she is a tough advocate and you are rest assured that she has nothing on her mind except winning.
